An examination, a digital impression and 3D imaging. We measure the bone available and plan exactly where the implant will sit.
Step 02
Placing the implant
A titanium screw is placed in the bone under local anaesthetic. You feel pressure, not pain.
Step 03
The abutment
Once the implant has fused with the bone, an abutment is screwed onto it. This is what will hold the new tooth.
Step 04
The crown
The ceramic crown is made to match the shade of your teeth, then fixed in place. You brush it like a natural tooth.
Same Day Implant: a temporary tooth is fitted on the day of surgery when the implant is stable enough.
01
Who are implants for?
For replacing a tooth that is missing or has to come out, or several teeth side by side, or for stabilising a full denture. Unlike a bridge, an implant doesn't involve filing down the teeth next to it.
The amount and quality of bone are checked at the assessment. If there isn't enough bone, a bone graft may be suggested before the implant is placed.
02
Same Day Implant
In some cases, the implant and a temporary tooth are fitted at the same appointment. You leave without a gap in your smile.
This is possible when the implant is stable enough as soon as it's placed. Dr Berrada will tell you at the assessment whether your case is suitable.
03
Straumann implants
The clinic works with Straumann, a Swiss implant manufacturer and one of the most extensively researched in the world. Crowns are made in ceramic, matched to the shade of your teeth.

I went round all the dentists in Casablanca before I came across, quite simply, the best. The doctor is very caring and takes the time to explain things and give you advice. His work is just excellent. You can go to him with total confidence!

I'm someone who gets scared at the dentist, but with Dr Berrada you feel at ease straight away. He explains the options clearly and doesn't push treatment you don't need.

Frequently asked questions
01How long does a dental implant last?
Looked after well, an implant can last for many years. Brushing, flossing or interdental brushes, and regular check-ups all matter.
02Can an implant be placed straight after an extraction?
Often, yes, if the bone and gum are healthy. If not, the area is left to heal for a few weeks before the implant goes in.
03How many trips do dental implants take?
Usually two: one to place the implant, and another a few months later for the permanent crown. With Same Day Implant, you go home after the first trip with a temporary tooth.
